QHB Moving Saga Update: A New Chapter Begins

Queer Haven Books is going mobile....again!

We are changing shapes, but not going anywhere!

We have made the difficult decision to close the brick-and-mortar store at the end of Pride Month. Our last day at 1332 Main Street will be June 28th.

Since terminating the Taylor Street lease due to the ICE lease on Main Street, I have attempted to secure three other locations. I offered each landlord what they asked for, yet all three denied the lease.

I contacted the ACLU and two civil rights attorneys, but no one is interested in the case (or likely are overwhelmed with cases at the moment). To be honest, I do not have the time or energy to keep fighting them right now.

Once I finalized this decision with our current landlord, I was informed by my business partner that QHB is getting a van!

Please support us during our last month on Main Street and follow our journey as we start a new chapter for QHB! We are excited to see what the next few months bring and hope to find a new space in Columbia in the future!
